The 2025 Australian Age Champs has come to a close and a huge congratulations is in order to all swimmers, coaches, support staff, and families involved.
This is the biggest week of the year in Age Group Swimming – the absolute pinnacle of age group racing in this country and year after year the country’s best athletes put on an impressive show for all to see. Back home, countless other juniors watch on and aspire to be here in years to come.
This year MLC AQUATIC was represented by 23 athletes, 4 coaches, a physio, an official, and a team manager. Everyone represented the club admirably through their racing, with their team spirit and support, and their attitude to the sport.
MLC AQUATIC has always prided themselves on quality over quantity, and this year continued that tradition. Exceptional racing throughout the week led to more than half our team scoring points and finishing top 20 in the country, and bringing home a whopping 9 medals.

Thank you to the coaching staff Mel, Tim, Shay, and Jayden for all the work they have done this week, and the whole season over the last 12 months. A special shout out and congratulations to coach Tim who scored his first Australian medal on Day 1, and followed it up for a total of 9 medals this week!
