The 2025 Australian Open Champs has come to a close and a huge congratulations is in order to all swimmers, coaches, support staff, and families involved.
This marks the end of the 2024/25 season, and it’s been a stellar year for all.
This year MLC Aquatic was represented at Opens by 11 athletes, 4 coaches, a massage therapist, 2 officials, and a team manager. I am proud to say everyone represented the club admirably through their racing, their team spirit and support, and their attitude to the sport.
MLC Aquatic has always prided themselves on quality over quantity, and this year continued that tradition. Exceptional racing throughout the week led to ten of our eleven swimmers finishing in the point scoring places contributing to our overall team success, as well as four open medals – a huge achievement.
Thank you to all parents and supporters in Brisbane and back home for everything you do for our team.
Thank you to Nat for her work as Team Manager this week – a seasoned veteran and Club President who continues to give her all to our team.
Thank you to Adi and Linda for your representation as Officials.
Thank you to Mel F for her exceptional skills as a massage therapist and welcome to the team!
Thank you to the coaching staff Mel, Tim, Shay, and Jayden for all the work they have done this week, and the whole season over the last 12 months.
And finally thank you to all of our athletes – for this week’s racing and their conduct, for the work leading to this point, and for representing our team so well.
We’ve all earned a bit of a rest now. Enjoy the next couple of weeks! Stay healthy and stay safe.
