About Us
MLC Aquatic is a community based competitive swimming club based in Kew. The club promotes the development of swimmers of all genders, at every stage, from Learn to Swim at MLC Swim School through to State and National teams. We have excellent facilities and inclusive programs to provide swimmers of all abilities with great opportunities.
We are very proud to be led by Head Coach Jayden Brian who is supported by Assistant Head and National Squad Coach Mel Klamt, State and National Target Squads Coach Tim Wright and Junior and Development Coach William Drew. We also have a dedicated strength and conditioning coach, Scott Young, and have access to an outstanding high performance gym.
We pride ourselves on our positive club culture which is built around the values of Respect, Excellence, Resilience and Unity. We have a positive, team based learning environment across our club structure to assist our athletes in reaching their potential. The coaching staff prescribe a balanced training program based off world leading practices and are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to create growth and improvement in our athletes. With many of our athletes in full-time education, our coaches are committed to adjusting training needs to accommodate academic requirements.
We are very proud to celebrate our club finishing the 2022/23 season in 6th place at the 2023 Australian Age Championships. Well done to every athlete on the team as well as our coaching team and tireless cheer squad!
